Our Outreach and Support Component is essential for recruiting participants, and providing the participant support that will keep them in the program, ensuring their enthusiastic sense of efficacy, and directly addressing and changing the feelings of powerlessness and hopelessness that often characterizes the poor and largely marginalized people we will serve. In clinical terms, we will replace an external locus of control with an internal locus of control in our participants.

"Anyone can give up , it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength."
